We exist to champion the role of business in God’s plan for the world. We affirm the missional role of business people globally.
Why We Exist
Business has a God-given power and potential for good in the world. Yet too often Christian business people have not been affirmed in their call to business.
We want business men and women to understand God’s redemptive work through business in the world. We want to help change the message that Christian business people are hearing and mobilise them for action.
What if the untapped business resources in the church globally were released for missional impact? What if more Christian business people were world-leaders at tackling global evils through business? The business as mission website is about connecting and resourcing businesses and business people to that end.
The first Business as Mission website was launched in 2002 by the BAM Resource Team. The current website, launched in late 2014, is the fourth version of the site. Leaders in the BAM Resource Team convened the BAM Global Think Tank in 2011, alongside other leaders and organisations. When BAM Global launched as a more permanent entity in 2014, the BAM website first became a collaborative initiative between BAM Global and the BAM Resource Team, and then fully an initiative of BAM Global.
